Bhutan is a peaceful, small and landlocked country, sandwiched by China in the North and India in the South. More than 60 per cent of its population live in rural parts of the country. The major sources of revenue to the government are hydroelectric power and tourism. Pristine natural forest occupies 72.5 percent of its total area. Bhutan has been declared as one of the 10 global biodiversity hot spots in the world.
